Our ice cream dream came true in June 2009 when we started to make our own ice cream and we opened our ice cream parlour on our Cheshire Farm shop near to Chester.

As you venture up our farm drive you will find our traditional Cheshire sandstone range of farm buildings where we have created a small production room and an ice cream shop!

We make all the ice cream ourselves. Having started with 10 flavours we are quickly expanding our range, it now includes family favourites like

Indulgent Belgian Chocolate, Strawberry and Rum & Raisin, as well as our Snickie and Bethany’s Special.

You are able to enjoy the variety of flavours straight away in an ice cream cone or in tubs. We also sell our home made ice cream in 500ml tubs for you to take home.

The real stars of the ice cream farm shop are our ‘Backford Belles’ – our small herd of Jersey cows, which can often be seen grazing the fields close to the farm. They provide the creamy milk that makes our ice cream so rich and full of flavour.

You are able to sit and enjoy a tea or coffee or soft drinks with local homemade cakes indoors in our ice cream parlour.

You can also sit outside at the tables and chairs in our old traditional farm yard, enjoying the sunshine and watching the bunnies and calves, and whatever else is happening on the farm.
